Sync Templates: How and why do i need these templates?
Yes. If you want your music placed in film, TV, games, trailers, or ads, clear paperwork is essential. These templates help you define ownership, splits, and approval rights upfront so you can move fast when opportunities come in.
They include:
- publisher split sheet to confirm shares and sync approval authority
- master agreement to clearly set terms with publishers, libraries, or clients
Using these documents helps avoid disputes, delays, and missed placements, and ensures your music can be licensed properly.
All music is protected by copyright. Any release, monetization, or sync use requires the correct permissions to be in place.
Important Note
These documents were created to help artists, songwriters, and other creatives gain insight into a traditionally gatekept part of the music industry. By purchasing them, you are supporting this mission and helping us continue to make professional knowledge more accessible.
Please do not share, distribute, or resell these documents. If others would benefit from them, encourage them to purchase their own copy directly from us.
Can i use a instrumental for my own song or project?
The short answer is yes, but not without proper authorization. While I highly encourage artists and companies to explore and use these beats creatively, using them for your own requires you to secure the appropriate rights prior to any form of publication. These rights can be obtained by contacting Lawrence Mace to discuss licensing options or a buyout arrangement.
Types of Licenses Available
Exclusive License: This grants you sole rights to use the instrumental, meaning no other artist can use the same beat.
Non-Exclusive License: This allows you to use the instrumental, but others may also have access to it.
Buyout: You purchase complete ownership of the instrumental, giving you full control over its use.
Important Note
These instrumentals are registered and thus protected under copyright law. Using them without proper licensing constitutes a violation of copyright law, which can lead to legal consequences.
For more information or to obtain a license, please reach out to Lawrence Mace directly.
